Suffolk Chlamydia Screening Programme
Sexually active young people who live in Suffolk and are under the age of 25 years of age are being encouraged to find out if they have a sexually transmitted infection (STI) called Chlamydia.
It can cause long term health problems such as infertility (unable to have a baby).
Most people won't know that they have the infection as there may be no signs or symptoms and it is estimated that 1 in 10 sexually active young people may have this infection.
Testing is simple and painless - no unpleasant examination or swabs. It is easily treated with antibiotics. REMEMBER - using a condom will help protect you against STIs.
